Junior Police Academy

The Ocean Gate 1st Annual Police Youth Academy will begin Monday, July 11th, and run until Friday, July 15th between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. The academy will be held at the Ocean Gate Elementary School 126 W Arverne Ave, Ocean Gate, NJ 08740. 

Activities Include:

Physical Fitness 

Military Etiquette Drill and Ceremony

Traffic Safety

Police Canine interactions

Introduction to Specialized Units

Fire Department and EMS demonstrations

Basic Criminal investigations

Requirements:

Open to applicants who are ages 10-14.

Only applicants that have not had any negative interaction or criminal charges with the police will be accepted into the program.

Due to limited seating, only 20 Cadets will be accepted into the program.

Open to Ocean Gate residents and surrounding communities. Ocean Gate residents will receive first preference. 

Applications can be downloaded below or picked up at the Ocean Gate Police Department Headquarters located at 801 Ocean Gate Ave, Ocean Gate, NJ 08740.
